Tips on: Embracing your flaws

“I follow four dictates: face it, accept it, deal with it, then let it go.”
~Sheng Yen

Hey guys!!! These few days have been very tiring.... I feel like I am not happy of the way I am or should I say myself... I have been feeling like I have alot of defects in myself so decided to give few tips to you guys (who feel the same as me) and myself to embrace my flaws...

1. Accept before you improve...
Accepting your flaws doesn't mean you can't improve them. It just prevents you from trying to hate yourself into a version of you that you can love and feel good about.

2. Recognize unrealistic standards...
Instead of setting unrealistic standards, focus on making the most of your skills in a fair and realistic way.

3. Accept Praise From Others...
Many people have this issue on obsessing about their perceived mistakes, failures, and flaws often find it really difficult to accept praise from others, even when you truly deserve that praise. I know that I am one of those people...

4. Practice gratitude daily...

We all have so much to be grateful for. Gratitude helps to cultivate a positive mindset and good thoughts, which will help you to accept yourself for who you really are.

5. Try understanding and recognizing that you are not your thoughts...

We get really lost in the story that goes through our minds. Our mind is, our greatest storyteller and often, we believe everything it tells us.

Learn to recognize that thoughts are created by our mind. It sees the threat in everything. Start to ask your mind this:

Does this thought serve me and my purpose?

Does this thought actually help me?

6. Look after yourself...

Many people have this problem of looking at other people and comparing those people to themselves. We should try not to compare ourselves and focus on ourselves when you understand that you will start changing geinuely...

Start eating a nourishing diet, move regularly, rest often, be alert and mindful. We often underestimate how the mind and body work both ways. By looking after your body, you are creating a sacred and good environment for your true being. It makes acceptance a lot easier when you look after the house your soul lives in.

Today I will give you an exercise try it as it helped me alot on what I want to change and improve on:

(Only if you want to try it)

• Write down what you consider to be a flaws.

• Then reflect: Would you consider all the things you wrote to be a flaws?

After you do this you will be more clear on what you want to change in yourself and lever yourself up and most importantly starting loving yourselves.

I have started applying these six tips in my daily life and now waiting to see the transition from how I change from not liking myself to accepting every little part of me.

I just want you to remember this: you are imperfectly perfect, just the way you are.

Stay safe. Be happy

That's all for today

Aishu
